Comprehensive Program for Evaluation
and Treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury in Children

The Comprehensive Program for Evaluation and Treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury in Children utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to the management of infants and children who have experienced traumatic brain injuries resulting in physical, cognitive, language or behavioral problems. Involvement of a child psychologist and speech-language pathologist, as well as occupational and physical therapists is integral to the success of the program.

Diagnostic tools include clinical examination, radiographic studies and evaluations to assess language, sensory perception, motor function, cognition and behavior.

Treatment options include appropriate medical and surgical interventions; psychological counseling, rehabilitative services including speech, occupational and physical therapy, and school reintegration.
