Epilepsy Surgery
The Indiana Surgical Epilepsy Program provides comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with medically intractable complex partial seizures. All patients undergo an extensive protocol driven presurgical evaluation including inpatient video/EEG monitoring, MR scanning, neuropsychological evaluation, and intracarotid sodium amytal testing.
Those patients who are found to be appropriate candidates are then treated with resection of the identified focal initiator site guided by intraoperative electrocorticography.
