MSC Secretary Responsibilities

The SECRETARY of the Medical Student Council Shall...

  • Record the minutes of the Medical Student Council, including MSC Meetings, Executive meetings, MSC-Deans meetings, etc.=.
  • Publicize each upcoming council meeting at least four days in advance of its scheduled date.
  • Provide a copy of the Medical Student Council Constitution at each council meeting.
  • Notify council members of any change in the status of their voting privileges.
  • Track MSC Member votes and meeting attendance.
  • Work with the Office of Mentoring and Student Development to distribute a Medical Student Council roster each fall and spring consisting of the names and email addresses of MSC Voting Members, non-voting committee representatives and representatives of all recognized medical student organizations including Student Interest Groups (SIGs).
  • Maintain and update the MSC website on a regular basis with the assistance of the Webmaster of the MSC Website. 
  • Aid the President and the Vice President in Medical Student Council business.
  • Maintain a bulletin board to inform students of Medical Student Council Business, including a posting of each meeting's minutes and contact information for MSC officers.
  • Distribute Daly bulletin board space to interested SIGs and student groups.
