Spring Formal Committee: Eligibility & Selection

Two students will be selected by the MSC to become the Spring Formal Committee Chairs.

Candidates eligible to become Spring Formal Committee Chairs can be students from any year of medical school. The term of the SFC Chair begins in late spring of the current year and runs until the new chirs for the following year are ready to assume the position.

Two candidates are chosen by the interview steering committee during Interview Day and presented by way of written recommendations to the MSC President and Vice-President. The President and Vice-President take the recommendations of the Interview Steering Committee into close consideration but assess all of the candidates for the position.

Two candidates will be recommended by the President and Vice-President to the MSC for selection.

Spring Formal Committee: Entity Description

The Spring Formal, currently entitled "Saint Vitus Dance", is a one time per year event that takes place in the spring of each year. All medical students and their spouses or a single guest are invited.

The event is a classy, suit-and-tie affair offering an opportunity to spend time with students within/across classes.

Spring Formal Committee: Responsibilities

The Spring Formal Committee Co-chairs will coordinate and organize the spring formal currently known as the St. Vitus Dance. The Co-Chairs are also responsible for keeping MSC and the student body updated on issues relevant to the Spring Formal.
