Section 4.02 Application for Recognition
(a) Approval of a Student Interest Group (SIG) is based on the following process:
(i) SIG’s must submit a constitution to the MSC VP of Membership. (Template provided by MSC)
(ii) The Executive Committee will review the request and will issue an initial recommendation. This recommendation may include, but is not limited to, a request to appear before the entire voting membership of the MSC, attempts to integrate into another SIG, or revision/resubmission of submitted documents.
(iii) For final approval representatives from the prospective SIG must appear and present their request before the voting body of the MSC. MSC recognition can then be awarded pending a movement for recognition and a majority vote of approval without the SIG representatives present.
