Welcome to the Northwest Campus... We are a close group of students and professors who are pleased that you will be joining us for the next two years!
The Northwest Center of IUSM is located in Gary, Indiana, just minutes from Chicagoland. Motivated students thrive at this campus, as the problem based learning (PBL) curriculum encourages self-directed learning. Students attend PBL sessions 3 days a week, have the option of going to lecture 2 hours a day, and are finished with classes by noon. Patient contact begins during the first week of medical school and students learn to do a complete history and physical by the end of their first year. The Northwest Center has awesome professors and is a great place to learn the science of medicine!
