Introduction from Chairperson Hal E. Broxmeyer, Ph.D.

We recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Looking forward to the future and the ever-changing landscape of scientific investigation and medical and graduate education, we have expanded the research opportunities in the department, restructured the graduate program, and partnered in a new medical student curriculum. The department now has 28 faculty (16 primary and 12 secondary) with whom graduate students can train and even more with whom postdoctoral fellows can receive training.
