Dr. Jong Eun Ryu is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at IUPUI. He received his BS and ME in mechanical engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2004 and 2006, respectively. He completed the Ph.D in mechanical engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2009. He continued his research in nano manufacturing and bionanotechnology as a postdoctoral researcher at UCLA. In 2011, he joined Intel corp as senior lithography technology development engineer. Prof. Ryu was appointed by the department of mechanical engineering and Integrated Nanosystem Develoment Institute (INDI) at IUPUI in 2013. His research interests are in the area of nano-engineered composite materials, scalable nanomanufacturing, flexible electronics, and the applications in energy and biomedical devices.
