I am a second-year student in Dr. Grahame’s lab.  My current project is assessing impulsivity in the High Alcohol Preferring (HAP) and Low Alcohol Preferring (LAP) selected lines of mice by using a delayed reward task.  The objective is to determine if impulsive decision-making is co-selected with high alcohol preference in mice.  A series of experiments is planned that will test the effects of genetic selection and drug treatments on impulsive choice.  The long! -term goal of this work is to elucidate important pathways and neurotransmitter systems involved in pathological decision-making.
