Currently, I am examining the dopamine D2 off rate hypothesis of what may make an atypical antipsychotic ‘atypical’. This research is taking place in Dr. Lee Phebus’s lab over at Eli Lilly, and being overseen in conjunction with Dr. Jay Simon. I entered the Medical Neurobiology Program shortly after moving to Indianapolis in August of 2000. What drew me to the program were its smaller size and the excellent resources. Surrounded by the IUPUI campus, the medical school and facilities, the newly built Stark Institute, as well as neighboring Eli Lilly, I felt the program had a wide variety of resources and experiences from which to choose.
