A Note From the Chair
Greetings!
I’m delighted to be communicating with you through our first ‘environmentally friendly’ electronic newsletter. My name is Kathy Johnson, and I’m currently serving as Chair in the Psychology Department. I’m trained as a cognitive developmental psychologist, and I know that I’ve crossed paths with many of you as you’ve taken courses related to Cognition or Developmental Psychology. It’s been a busy year in the Psychology Department and I hope that you’re having a productive semester as you work toward your degree. We have many people in the department who are eager to help you as you seek out career or academic advising, pursue answers to questions about internships or graduate programs, or engage in activities or events sponsored by our Psychology Club and Psi Chi, the National Honors Society in Psychology. I’m also delighted that we will be hosting an alumni career panel on April 9th – which will provide a wonderful opportunity for you to network with graduates of our programs – and hopefully inspire your own post-graduate career planning. My door is always open (LD 124C) and I very much hope that you’ll drop by and share with me your ideas concerning how our department can help you to realize your career goals. Enjoy the rest of your spring semester!

Kathy Johnson
