The IUPUI Psychology Department is a sponsor for the annual Mid-America Undergraduate Psychology Research Conference in cooperation with the psychology departments of five other colleges and universities (i.e., Franklin College, the University of Indianapolis, The University of Southern Indiana, Eastern Illinois University, and Thomas More University). This conference attracts undergraduate psychology students from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan who come to the conference to present the results of their research. The opportunity to participate in this conference provides valuable experience for students who plan to attend graduate school. This year the conference will be held at Franklin College on April 18. What past attendees have said about MAUPRC:
"I absolutely loved MAUPRC and would give a talk again in a heartbeat! This was my first
time presenting and the experience was great! I hope to do this again next year. I loved
the atmosphere and the scholarly discussion. There are many great research ideas and
everyone was very nice."
"The conference was a really good experience. It was great to be able to get my feet wet
presenting in a nonthreatening situation and hear about some other interesting studies as
well. The keynote speaker was also really good at conveying a complicated study in an
effective and interesting way." |
