Old Business

In a follow-up on Etta Ward’s project with Community of Science grants funding, it was suggested that a workshop be held or that a contact be designated at each library for training. No one has formally done so, but some faculty members have set up vitas. At the Law School Claudia Porretti (grants) would be the contact. Carol Gall is already working with Etta. At the University Library, Mary Ann (development) might be the appropriate contact. Further discussion is expected at ULFO.

New Business

Executive Board is developing the following programs for the remaining three meetings this year:

1.       Dean Thorin was scheduled for November 17 a.m., but the meeting date conflicts with ULFO.

2.       A panel on the Science Alliance and the Research Corridor.

3.       A presentation on Counter statistics package and other software available. Plus, an update on IDEA.

Miriam Murphy suggested a workshop on ILLIAD. Since University Library has been using it for a year the law school will set up training on its own.

Meeting adjourned at approximately 11:20 a.m.

Respectively submitted,

Debra Denslaw, secretary
