Welcome.
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Faculty & Staff Council is here to serve members of IUPUI's faculty and staff communities who self identify as a member of the greater LGBT community and or with its common concerns, ideas and pride. Our membership is also open to graduate students in any of the academic programs offered through the IUPUI campus.
It is our goal to provide network opportunities, educational forums and a voice with the administration on the issues which matter to the LGBT community and specifically the LGBT community within the IUPUI family. The Council began to form in 2008 in its current structure and now works closely with the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion along with the other affinity councils: Black Faculty & Staff Council, Latino Faculty Staff Council, Native American Faculty Staff Council, and Asian American and Pacific Islander Faculty Staff Council.
We encourage you to join. You can define your own level of involvement ranging from having your name added to our confidential listserve so they can be kept abreast of important issues affecting the LGBT community at IUPUI, attending any of our social and lecture functions and/or attending our open meetings throughout the year. The most important thing you can do is be counted and informed! Please explore our website for current programs and services, and let us know how we can better serve you.
Sincerely,
Jayme T. Little, M.S. Ed.
