Dean Kellum Announces Retirement Plans
After 38 years of service, the Dean, in consultation with his family, announced plans for his retirement, effective August 31, 2008.
On September 29, 2007, more than 250 people attended the school’s recent 100-year anniversary celebration in the school’s former building, the Athenaeum.

Kathryn “Kat” Hauschild was recently selected to receive the 2007 IACC Conference Center Industry Award.
This award is given by the International Association of Conference Centers and is based upon a candidate’s academic achievement, need for financial assistance and preparation for a career in the conference center industry.
School faculty to present during upcoming symposium
Physical education faculty members Drs. Lisa Angermeier and NiCole Keith will participate in a session on closing the gap in access to health promotion during the upcoming Joseph Taylor Symposium. The annual symposium addresses issues of interest to urban communities. Dr. Angermeier’s presentation will highlight her work in community-health improvement and the impact it has on health-care policy in Indianapolis.
Motor Activity Clinic children finish fall program and receive awards.
Adapted physical education students work on Saturday mornings under the leadership of Dr. Katie Stanton to provide structured activities for children with disabilities who live in Indianapolis and surrounding areas.
Exercise Science students promote healthy lifestyle and changes in Westside School.
The IUPUI Fit For Life program sends 45 IUPUI exercise science students to George Washington Community School, where they work with students in daily physical education classes and during an after school program.
