Kathryn “Kat” Hauschild receives the 2007 IACC Conference Center Industry Award.

Kathryn “Kat” Hauschild was recently selected to receive the 2007 IACC Conference Center Industry Award.  This award is given by the International Association of Conference Centers and is based upon a candidate’s academic achievement, need for financial assistance and preparation for a career in the conference center industry.

The award package includes a $5,000 grant-in-aid, plus an all-expense paid trip to attend the IACC’s 26th Annual Conference at The Heldrich in New Brunswick, New Jersey, from April 19-22, 2007.  Kat will be presented with the award at a special awards luncheon on Friday, April 20.

The above photograph shows Kat discussing the award and conference details with Tom Cappucci, the General Manager of the University Place Conference Center and Hotel, and an IACC officer.  Also attending is Jim Bennett, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Tourism, Conventions and Event Management at IUPUI, who recommended Kat for this prestigious honor.
