Now that you have completed the Developmental Changes in Learning section of this module you should be able to

• describe Perry and Belenky's four levels of intellectual development through which students progress during the college years.
• apply instructional strategies that would encourage students to advance beyond the dualistic and multiplistic levels of thinking.
• Identify three or more resources that deal with changes in thinking over the college or adult years.

This section dealt mainly with changes that occur over time in how people learn, particularly changes that are seen as students progress through college.

In the next section, you'll learn more about individual differences in how people learn.
