Objectives for Section 3: Taking on the Transformation
Upon completion of Section 3, you will be able to
- identify what disciplinary values influence your course design and delivery.
- research and identify the scholarship of diversity within your specific
discipline.
- recognize possible obstacles and opportunities you confront in redesigning
your course.
- identify campus- and system-wide resources and organizations that support
and model multicultural course transformation.
- identify a working definition and/or framework for multicultural course
transformation.
- devise an action plan for multicultural course transformation that integrates
the four classroom elements (content, instruction, assessment, and classroom
dynamics).
