Accepting critical thinking as an educational ideal brings with it ramifications for the educational system (Weissinger, 2003). If we accept this challenge, then classroom activities should better prepare students for transitioning into their roles as lifelong learners as they will need to sift through and critically evaluate large amounts of information. Problem-based learning provides an experiential context for students to seek out, evaluate and apply information. |
