Discourse Studies: Interdisciplinary Journal for the Study of Text and Talk
Editor: Teun A. van Dijk, University of Amsterdam
Beginning in February of 1999, this multidisciplinary forum will publish reviewed work
on the structures and strategies of written and spoken discourse.
While contributing to new developments at the cutting edge of theory and method, its
articles will also be accessible to students and other newcomers to each area of
specialization. Altho intended as a broadly conceived forum for the best international
work on discourse in any field and specialization, Discourse Studies will
especially focus on cross-disciplinary studies of text and talk in linguistics,
anthropology, ethnomethodology, cognitive and social psychology, communication studies,
and law.

Interdisciplinary Journal for Germanic Linguistics and Semiotic Analysis
IJGLSA is an innovative biannual journal which reaches out to the international
community of researchers in two disciplines. While maintaining the integrity of each
field, their appearance side-by-side, on the one hand, adds a new Post-modern focus to
Germanic Linguistics while on the other hand, research in Semiotics, the general science
of signification, finds its closest ally in linguistics.
Articles are invited for submission. Manuscripts may be written in French, German, or
English. They should include an abstract of about 100 words. Editors:
