The 13th Annual IUPUI Robert G. Bringle Civic Engagement Showcase will be held on Tuesday, April 11 in the lower level of the IUPUI Campus Center. This celebratory event recognizes and promotes the diverse activities of IUPUI faculty, staff, students, and community partners. This event will honor faculty, staff, and community partners who exemplify IUPUI’s commitment to deepen community engagement, including the Charles R. Bantz Chancellor’s Community Fellowship.
This year’s events will once again include a Poster Showcase highlighting various community engaged projects and research. The event concludes with a formal recognition of those graduating students who have been awarded the prestigious William M. Plater Civic Engagement Medallion for exemplary commitment to serve their community during their college career.
Everyone is invited to attend any and all parts of the event. Please RSVP by Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
The Poster Showcase will take place from 3 to 4:30, the Welcome Reception is from 4 to 4:30, and the Award Ceremony is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Formal remarks will be made by Amy C. Warner, Vice Chancellor for Office of Community Engagement, and Dr. Kathy Johnson, Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer.
Honorees include the Charles R. Bantz Chancellor’s Community Fellowship, the Global Engagement Award, the Nan Bohan Community Engagement Staff Award, the Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Civic Engagement, and the William M. Plater Civic Engagement Medallion.
