Ever wanted to know what’s involved with researching and interviewing for a story you want to publish? Come hear about this aspect of writing for publication in this talk by Andrea Davis. Andrea is a former IBJ reporter, has written web content, and now writes grants for a nonprofit organization. She also blogs and helps organizations get their message out.

Andrea’s talk is part of the English Department’s Writers at Work Series, which brings local professionals who are working in writing-related jobs to campus. Speakers include a copy writer, an A&E editor, a published author, a grant writer, and a professional freelancer. How do they do it? Come hear how to pitch stories, work with editors, write in various genres for publication, and more.
