Sociology Professor Robert Aponte will present “Sixteen Bullets.”

Malicious shootings of mostly black civilians by police have unleashed public outcry and renewed reform efforts. The seeming immunity enjoyed by the shooters rests strongly on a police “code of silence.” Laquan McDonald’s case, a 17-year-old shot 16 times by a cop, exemplifies the problem and points to solutions.
