IUPUI Translating Research into Practice highlights IUPUI faculty that conduct important research and make significant contributions to improving all aspects of people’s lives. On February 19, 2018, Dr. Sean Saitta, Professor of the Department of Anthropology at the University of Denver, will be the TRIP Keynote speaker and will present his keynote address titled “Translational Research and Institute Responsibility: Owning Up to Historical Atrocities.” In this talk, Professor Saitta will discuss the challenges of the translational work that was undertaken by the University of Denver, work that was aimed at acknowledging and redressing the injuries and inequalities engendered by the enduring legacy of the Sand Creek Massacre.
