Lawrence Roth, M.D. will present “Exogeneous Estrogenic Hormones, Diethylstilbestrol (DES), Vaginal Adenosis, and Clear Cell Adenocarcinoma in Young Women: A Therapeutic Misadventure”.

This presentation is a narrative about diethylstilbestrol (DES) which was first synthesized in 1938 and prescribed from the 1940s to 1971 to try to prevent complications of pregnancy. The discovery of unforeseen side effects in the early 1970s sparked controversies that continue to the
present day.

A pizza lunch will be provided, so please RSVP to medhum@iupui.edu.
