Her teaching and research interests in Medical Humanities include literature and medicine, end-of-life communication, and empathy in medicine.

Peter Schwartz, M.D., Ph.D.	IU School of Medicine	Email: phschwar@iupui.edu Dr. Schwartz works at Indiana University Medical School, practicing general medicine at Wishard Hospital and carrying out research in the Indiana University Bioethics Center.   His research interests include: accounts of disease and health, and ideas of evidence, risk, and informed consent in medical treatment.
