Mission & Vision

WiT at IUPUI is dedicated to improving community by empowering women from all disciplines to utilize technology to make a difference. We seek to empower and support our community of diverse women by developing their skills and broadening their knowledge of technology through professional development, networking, community outreach, and interdisciplinary research; and to provide a network of support and promote an exchange of ideas among women from all fields that encourages their use of technology and knowledge of its benefits.

WiT was awarded an SOG grant from IUPUI to help fund the 4th Annual Networking Event in Spring 2014

WiT would like to congratulate Neha Kanjani for winning the 2014 Code-a-thon at the Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing! Great job Neha!

WiT would like to congratulate Sarah Parker, Reecha Bharali, & Neha Kanjani on receiving scholarships to attend the 2014 Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing in Seattle!

WiT would like to send a big thanks to NCWIT and Symantec for awarding us with the Student Seed Fund Grant! This helped to fund WiT's Annual Networking Event in 2013!

Women in Technology was awarded Three Prestige Awards by the Engineering and Technology Student Council at the 2nd Annual Student Organization Celebration at the University Place Conference Center and Hotel on April 23rd, 2012:

Women in Technology (WiT) was also nominated as the Largest Registered Student Organization of the YEAR and a Two Star Organization; WiT members received the Amazing Jaguars Award and the William L. Garrett Award at the 5th Annual Student Leadership Reception by Office for Student Involvement (OSI) on Sunday, April 22nd, 2012.

Women in Technology (WiT) also received the Certificate of Appreciation in Recognition of our commitments to making IUPUI an inclusive environment that embraces Diversity and Social Justice at the MultiCultural Leaders Banquet hosted by the Multicultural Success Center in Taylor Hall on Thursday, May 3rd, 2012.
