This page provides information for contacting your instructor or solving problems. You should print this page out—in case a computer problem prevents you from reading it.
Technology Problems
In most cases technology problems cannot be solved by your instructor. Always contact a campus help desk AND your instructor if a technology problem is preventing you from completing coursework.
Technology problems include:
- Problems connecting to the internet
- Problems connecting to Oncourse
- computer crashing
- how to run your internet browser
- how to install plug-ins
- features of Oncourse not working correctly
If you have a problem with technology, here are some resources for help:
- Check IT notices to be sure your problem is not campus-wide
- Contact the IUPUI help desk
- Contact another campus help desk
- View Oncourse’s list of internet browser requirements
- View Oncourse Student Resource Page.
Oncourse Problems
If you have problems using Oncourse, view the Oncourse Help Page. If you have trouble logging into Oncourse, contact the campus help desk (listed above). If you have trouble accessing a specific item in Oncourse, contact your instructor.
Problems with Software Hardware
Your instructor can help you with some common software or hardware problems, but the IUPUI help desk (317-274-HELP) is the best resource for common problems, such as:
- Downloading digital photos
- Downloading mp3 audio
- Using mp3 audio files
- Oncourse software problems
You should make the effort to fix the problem yourself first, using the help tool included with the software or the instructions included with the hardware, or a support website for the hardware.
