G136 Summer 2013 Calendar

This calendar indicates the following important information:This course runs over BOTH summer sessions from May 8 to August 5. You must be available to complete labs and field trips over the entire summer. Materials are due on Mondays this summer as outlined below.

The “Due Date” is the last day you can submit an assignment. Due dates correspond to 11:59 p.m. that day — Eastern Standard Time in Indianapolis. Regardless of the method by which you decide to submit your materials ("Assignments", mail, drop off) - they must be to your instructor by the due date. See the Course Guidelines for details regarding make-up work; note that any requests for make-ups require documentation and advance notice.

Field trips are completed on your own time - the due dates listed here tell you when to submit your completed field trip activity worksheets to your instructor.

Due Dates

The three field trip assignments (Labs 4, 7, and 10) are due as indicated below. You should not wait until the week the field trip labs are due to complete them - the labs will be posted early enough to give you some time to plan back-up trips to the parks in case of inclement weather. Please mark the following due dates on your calendar, which are also identified below. These due dates are the final day you can submit the assignment. See the "Guidelines" page of this module for information on options for submitting lab exercises.

Lab 0 due by Monday May 13

The last day you may drop this course with a 100% refund is Wednesday May 15.

Complete Lab 1 and submit as directed. Begin working on Lab 2.

Determine when in the next 4 weeks you will complete Lab 4 (field trip to Turkey Run). Plan a date and alternate date for completing Lab 4.

May 20

 Lab 1 due by Monday May 20 Complete Lab 2 and submit as directed. Begin working on Lab 3.

May 28

(Monday May 27 is a campus holiday)

Lab 2 due by Tuesday May 28

 Complete Lab 3 and submit as directed. Work on Lab 4, or if finished, begin working on Lab 5.

Determine when in the next 4 weeks you will complete Lab 7 (field trip to Mounds). Plan a date and alternate date for completing Lab 7.

June 17

Lab 4 due by Monday June 17

The last day you may drop this course with an automatic "W" is Tuesday June 18. You need an advisors signature only.

 Complete Lab 5 and submit as directed. Begin working on Lab 6.
June 24 Lab 5 due by Mondy June 24

Complete Lab 6 and submit as directed. Work on Lab 7, or if finished, begin working on Lab 8.

The last day you may drop this course with a W (if passing) or an F (if failing) is Tuesday July 9. You need an advisor and the instructor's signature.

Complete Lab 7 (Field Trip to Mounds) and submit as directed. Continue working on Lab 8.

Determine when in the next 4 weeks you will complete Lab 10 (field trip to McCormicks Creek). Plan a date and alternate date for completing Lab 10.

July 15

Lab 7 due on Monday July 15.

Complete Lab 8 and submit as directed. Begin working on Lab 9.

July 22

Lab 8 due by Monday July 22

 Complete Lab 9 and submit as directed. Work on Lab 10.

July 29

Lab 9 due by Monday July 29

Complete Lab 10 (Field Trip to McCormicks Creek) and submit as directed.
