Grants Available to IUPUI Students

IUPUI 21st Century Scholars Pledge Grant

This grant is designed to help meet the remaining financial need for 21st Century Scholars who enroll full time at IUPUI. To be eligible student must be participating and receiving 21st Century Scholarship funds from the state of Indiana and have a FAFSA on file by the priority deadline of March 10, 2009. Those students who meet eligibility will automatically be given this award as it requires no additional application, however grant recipients must attend the IUPUI Summer Bridge Academy and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress Guidelines. Award amounts vary, but approximate average amount is $2,500. The maximum annual IUPUI 21st Century Scholars Grant amount is $5,000.

To be eligible, the student must:

  • Apply by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the appropriate aid year and meet federal student aid programs requirements (e.g. U.S. Citizen or eligible noncitizen)
  • Be enrolled in a four-year degree seeking program of study
  • Be enrolled full-time (12 semester hours or more)
  • Be participating and receiving 21st Century Scholarship funds

Enrollment levels (full-time, three-quarters-time, half-time, and less than half time) are determined based on projected or actual enrollment with subsequent adjustment based on actual enrollment each semester. Final eligibility is determined and awards are finalized after the fourth week of classes, which corresponds with the SSACI Census date for each term.
