IUPUI is committed to helping you manage your college expenses and making a degree more affordable. As part of this effort, we are asking all new IUPUI students to complete an online learning exercise on financial literacy, called Transit.
Transit is a 60-minute learning experience that focuses on critical personal finance topics such as budgeting, banking, savings, credit, and borrowing. It is an interactive experience and upon completion, you'll get your financial literacy score--hopefully one to brag about.
This required learning piece is an initiative coordinated by the Indiana University Office of Financial Literacy, which is part of the larger "Affordability Toolkit" sponsored by the University. If you wish to learn more about IU's financial literacy programming, which is about helping students make good financial decisions, visit IU's financial literacy website at moneysmarts.iu.edu.
In order to begin Transit, you should log in to One.iu.edu and search for "Transit." Click on the "Required Financial Literacy (Transit)" task. Navigate to the Financial section of "Services & Information" and click on the "Launch" button. For more information about how to log into Transit please visit the University Information Technology Services' Knowledge Base here. If you have any questions or problems with the program itself, please contact technical support at Everfi, the Transit online software developer, at 1-866-384-9062.
We hope you will find this learning experience of personal value and a meaningful contribution to your enrollment at IUPUI.
