Assistance for Students and Borrowers Impacted by Natural Disasters

IUPUI is committed to assisting students and borrowers impacted by recent natural disasters, including Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The Department of Education has established a special website with resources and answers to frequently asked questions for those impacted. Also, if you or your family are experiencing some type of financial crisis due to these events please email finaid@iupui.edu for further assistance.


Financial Strategies and Options for Students and Families

We understand that paying for college can be a challenge. Most students simply do not qualify for enough financial aid to cover the FULL cost of attending college. However, there are a number of strategies that families can consider to cover unmet college financial needs. Welcome to IUPUI! You no doubt have lots of questions as you prepare to begin your education as a Jaguar this fall. Our office is here to help! During our new student orientation sessions this summer, we'll be sharing some useful tips and advice to make your transition a successful one. You can access a copy of our presentation here. Guidance for Transition Students

Starting your journey at IUPUI this summer? We want to welcome you, your family, and your guests to the University. During our orientation sessions this May we’ll be presenting “Funding Your Future: Recommended Strategies” – a guide to navigating financial aid, student billing, and money management as a Jaguar. Loan Repayment and Forgiveness Workshops

Are you preparing to graduate? Curious about how federal student loan repayment works? Experts from the Office of Student Financial Services will hold workshops to teach you the ins and outs of managing federal student loan repayment. Learn about federal loan repayment plans, discover how to make your monthly payments manageable, and explore ways to have your loans forgiven. Sessions will be held in Campus Center 305 on Tuesday, May 2 at 12 p.m. and Thursday, May 4 at 6 p.m. Click here to access a copy of the presentation.


ScholarTrack Now Available

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education has announced the release of the new and improved ScholarTrack. Replacing the eStudent system, ScholarTrack is the one-stop shop for Hoosiers’ state financial aid needs, including the 21st Century Scholars program, Frank O’Bannon Grant, and other need- and merit-based financial aid opportunities. The upgraded system also features a simplified design, a streamlined user interface, and other enhancements that will improve your ScholarTrack experience. Existing eStudent users will need to create a new ScholarTrack student account at ScholarTrack.IN.gov. Contact Awards@che.in.gov with questions or click here to view a video resource for students. 2017-2018 Financial Aid Notifications (FANs)

Great news, we have mailed out 2017-2018 Financial Aid Notifications (FANs) to 2,800 incoming freshman who filed their FAFSAs early. Click here to learn more about the FAN. Haven’t filled out your 2017-2018 FAFSA yet? Don’t worry, there’s still time! The 2017-2018 FAFSA uses 2015 tax information so there’s no need to wait - fill out your FAFSA today at fafsa.gov. Are you a continuing student? You will receive an email in June when your 2017-2018 FAN is ready to view via One.IU..
