The balloting and tallying
for these elections took place at
Agenda Item VII: FIRST
Hehman read the proposed amendments
to the bylaws. These amendments proposed
to create two standing committees out of previously ad hoc groups: Athletic
Affairs and Distance Education (respectively).
The amendments also provide for the creation of a new standing
committee: Research Affairs. The proposal also accounts for numbering
revisions necessary to accommodate new committee listings within the
bylaws.
Agenda Item VIII: FIRST
Kloesel discussed the charge
made to the Faculty Affairs committee (to re-examine and rearticulate certain
aspects of the IUPUI Policy on Transfer,
Merger, Reorganization, Reduction and Elimination of Academic Programs). He
then reviewed the revisions with the faculty, including the announcement of the
new [proposed] title: IUPUI Policy on School or Program Restructuring.
