Cheating and Plagiarism

Faculty must foster the intellectual honesty as well as the intellectual development of their students. Should faculty detect signs of cheating and/or plagiarism, they are obligated to investigate, to take appropriate action, and to report the matter to the Dean of Students. The general principles and policy relating to cheating and plagiarism can be found in the IU Academic Handbook and in the IU Code of Student Conduct, Rights, and Responsibilities (the Code as it applied to IUPUI can be found on the Dean of Students website.
