Resolution
Regarding Administrative Reviews (Approved at the IUPUI Faculty Council at its
Background:
With
the advent of Faculty Review and Enhancement in 1999, the IUPUI campus adopted a
performance improvement process for faculty. This process is in place and is
resulting in improvement of faculty performance to the betterment of the campus
and its academic enterprises. In keeping with this model, the faculty can
reasonably expect that performance improvement of administrators will keep pace
with that new standard.
Resolution:
The
Faculty Council resolves that administrators with deficiencies cited in
administrative reviews should be helped to improve and may be placed on a
shortened (less than five years), focused review cycle to ensure improvement.
The Executive Committee is directed to monitor the implementation of this
resolution.
