Welcome to the web site for the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Undergraduate Studies!
On the left side of the screen, you will see a link to the policies for the Indiana University School of Informatics and a link to the policies for the IU School of Informatics, IUPUI. There is an overarching governance structure and set of policies for the entire School of Informatics as well as faculty governance and policies that are specific to the IUPUI portion of the school and its faculty members. It is important to check both of these links for current policies, policies under development or revision, committee memberships and officers. Also, in many cases there are campus or university policies in place. These can be located through the IUPUI Faculty Council or the University Faculty Council web sites.
My office is in IT 475J and I am always available to meet with faculty members regarding promotion and tenure and other matters dealing with academic appointments as well as issues and concerns related to the undergraduate programs and curriculum. I have worked at IUPUI for 23 years - including roles in school and campus administration and in faculty governance - please consider me a resource and mentor. Also, please know that all discussions will be kept in strictest confidence. If you would be more comfortable, we can certainly arrange to meet outside of the IT building.
