Taking IUPUI to the Community

Being located in downtown Indianapolis brings many events and partnerships to IUPUI and its campus. The Office of Community Relations facilitates those community partnerships. Community events such as the 500 Festival Mini Marathon and Kid’s Day and the Komen Indianapolis Race for the Cure are a staple on the IUPUI campus where as community enhancing projects such as the BackPack Attack and the Jam the Jaguars Bus Food Drive build strong partnerships within Indianapolis.

The primary focus of the Office of Community Relations is to bring the campus to the community and the community to the campus. Through successful event planning, strategic marketing and the development of community oureach initiatives. The office of Community Relations is working to position IUPUI as a leading "urban" university.
