University Hospital

University Hospital is a 390 bed tertiary adult care university site where patient care, education and research come together. Patients are referred from the entire state of Indiana and surrounding areas. Residents are assigned as the primary care providers on inpatient general and subspecialty teams, including intensive care patients. Distinct consult rotations train residents in subspecialty consultative and outpatient skills. University Hospital provides educational opportunities in the care of complex patients, such as those undergoing treatment for solid and hematological malignancies; liver, kidney and bone marrow transplantation; and advanced interventional pulmonary and gastrointestinal procedures.
