Med/Peds Experiences

Office Practice

Private practice rotations with community-based medicine-pediatric physicians are available in urban, suburban and rural settings. We have four local med-peds practices which regularly assist in the training of our residents.

Combined Rotations

Combined ambulatory Med-Peds rotations may be scheduled on both medicine and pediatric block month. An ambulatory Med-Peds rheumatology and a combined emergency department months are required and additional combined med/peds choices include office practice, endocrinology, neurology, dermatology and gastroenterology.

Conferences

There are monthly Med-Peds lectures that supplement the medicine and pediatric didactic series. Residents participate in clinical discussions, technical skills and communication workshops. Journal clubs and board review activities are also scheduled monthly.
