Inpatient Care Inpatient care – Residents develop their skills on both general and subspecialty inpatient service months. Intensive care unit rotations include the medical, pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. Intensive care unit teams are separated from ward teams at all hospitals. Opportunities for residents to learn and train directly under hospitalists exist in our hospitals, as well as in community hospital experiences. Residents gain the skills and knowledge to recognize and confidently manage both adult and pediatric emergencies, and feel comfortable in these skills upon graduation.
