Evaluations

Each resident is assigned either a medicine/pediatrics faculty advisor or an advisor from among the medicine or pediatric faculty according to career interests. The role of the faculty advisor is to meet regularly with residents to review their progress, assist in educational, career and/or personal counseling and provide faculty mentorship. Each month, residents receive an electronic evaluation of their performance by faculty. Medical students, fellow residents, nursing staff, patients and chief residents also have the opportunity to submit evaluations or comments. Residents' progress is reviewed regularly through an evaluation committee. Resident meet semi-annually with one of the program directors to chart their progress and set future goals. Residents also evaluate their rotations and faculty monthly. Feedback to residents, course directors, and the faculty continually advances and improves our program.
