Continuity Clinic

Chiefs conversing in the resident lounge Continuity clinics are located in five community health centers which are easy drives from the hospitals. Med-Peds residents provide clinical care in a health center for one half-day per week, where they follow their own patient panel of both children and adults. They are encouraged to participate in the telephone management and inpatient care of their patients. Faculty supervision is also longitudinal as provided by one of the Med-Peds faculty. The clinic sites and hospitals are connected via a computerized medical record system, allowing ready access to the clinical database.

Faculty

There are currently many medicine-pediatrics physicians on the faculty. Medicine-pediatric faculty members participate as providers in the university's primary care practice and contribute as preceptors and advisors for combined residents and as active members of both departments.
