Did You Know?

Ø A Student-Athlete with eligibility remaining who is employed in an institutional or privately owned camp may be identified by name and/or picture in the camp brochure only in a designated camp counselor section.
Ø An institutional staff member employed an any camp is prohibited from recruiting any prospect during the time period which the camp/clinic is conducted. (This includes extending written or verbal offers of financial aid.)
Ø Institution's coach may NOT verbally relay information to a prospect through the prospect's coach while the prospect is participating in competition-related activity.
Ø It is permissible to send a fax to a prospect while the prospect is participating in an athletics event. Fax must be sent directly to the prospect (e.g. front desk, personal fax machine). No third party delivery of fax (e.g. camp employee, coach).
Ø Coaching staff member may not contact, telephone, or send written correspondence to an individual prior to the time the individual enrolls in the ninth grade.
Ø Not permissible for an institutional coaching staff member to have a toll-free telephone line established at her or his residence for the purpose of receiving telephone calls initiated by prospects.
Ø Coach may receive collect and/or toll-free calls from prospects via her or his institutionally issued cellular phone.
Ø Institutions may NOT provide complimentary admissions to coaches of prospects to attend a postseason competition (includes NCAA championship, conference tournament, and bowl games).


OUTSIDE COMPETITION

Student-Athletes with remaining eligibility must properly complete and submit one of the following forms prior to any Outside Competition in her/his sport:
