1. To collaborate in the identification of research needs relevant to the Healthy Cities Movement.
    
2. To conduct & collaborate in the planning & execution of quantitative & qualitative research relevant to the Healthy Cities Movement.
    
3. To collaborate in the development of a global database & to issue periodic reports on the Healthy Cities Movement.
    
4. To provide research training opportunities for fellow visiting scientists & research trainees of the Organization.
    
5. To organize & host national & international conferences & congresses on issues relevant to the Healthy Cities Movement.
    
6. To promote information exchange about Healthy Cities Programs, Research & Resources.
