Christine Leland (former Associate Dean) and Pat Rogan (current Executive Associate Dean) of the School of Education (SOE) had meetings with Dean Wang of the School of Translation and Dean Zhou of the School for Overseas Educational Exchange of SYSU when they visited IUPUI in April and Nov 2008 respectively.  The SOE is actively engaged with SYSU counterparts to develop a 2+2 program and student exchange programs. As a result of these efforts, IUPUI students in the elementary and secondary teacher education programs now have an opportunity to complete one of their 8-week student teaching experiences in Guangzhou, China at the Experimental Primary School or Middle School where they will be supervised by faculty from SYSU.
