The 2nd China Higher Medical Education Management Conference

The 2^nd China Higher Medical Education Management Conference was held in Guangzhou Dec. 3-5.  The conference was organized by Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU).  Confucius Institute in Indianapolis is the co-organizer.  President Daren Huang of SYSU and the representatives from the Ministry of Education of China and the Guangdong Department of health and education attend the opening ceremony.   More than 150 delegations from different medical schools in China participated the conference.  Ten presentations were delivered at the general session of the conference by speakers from U.S., Sweden and China.  Dr. Maryellen Gusic, the Executive Association Dean of IUSM led the delegation from U.S..  The conference provides a good platform for the medical educators in China and the world to exchange ideas and share experiences on different topics in medical education.
