2010 Chinese Teacher Workshop

With the help of Indiana Chinese language teacher Association, the Confucius Institute in Indianapolis organized a Chinese language teachers’ workshop at the Sheraton Hotel downtown Indianapolis  from September 23rd to 25th, 2010.  The first session was for New Chinese Teachers (0-3 years experience) from September 23rd to 25th.  The second session was for all Chinese Teachers from September 24th to 25th.  The purpose of the conference is to gather Chinese language teachers an opportunity to develop the skill set that they will certainly employ throughout their teaching career.  In addition, this workshop will serve to develop a network/learning community among Indiana’s Chinese language educators and will focus on developing practical teaching skills that will be especially useful to teachers. 48 teachers from Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina and Minnesota attend the workshop.
