2018 CHINESE CULTURE CAMP AT IUPUI

JUNE 4th – JULY 27th, 2018

Daily Cultural Activity & Language Classes

Description

For language learning, the younger the better. To better prepare our children to learn about China, the Confucius Institute in Indianapolis offers a Chinese Culture summer day camp for K-8 students (at least 5 years old). The camp is held on the IUPUI campus, and last for one to eight weeks.

Classes

Students will have a full curriculum of Chinese, Calligraphy, Crafts & Sports, Singing & Dancing as well as Reading & Math.  Classes are taught by local Chinese Teachers and Teaching Assistants from IUPUI

Camp Location – LD 137 is the drop-off and pick-up location.  We will be at this location until 8:40am and at morning exercise until 8:55am.  Please take a look at the schedule/map so that you know where to drop off your child if you are running late.

Parking – Lot 83.  Map can be found here.  Parking Services has made it more easy to find parking and pay for your parking this year. You will need to use the Parking Kiosk to pay for your parking.  The kiosks accept cash (1’s and 5’s), credit card, coins and IU Crimson Cards. No change given.  Information about the kiosks can be found here.

M-F 8:30am-4:30pm

Pre/After Care 7:30am-6pm

No camp on July 4th

Registration

$180 per Week per Child or $150 per Week if registered for all 8 weeks per Child

$15 Material Fee (one-time payment) includes shirt, calligraphy set, book & game.  Waived if registered by April 2nd

Pre/After Care is $25 per week per child

Sibling Discount: Siblings receive $15 off each sibling, two or more.  One time only – email ciindy@iupui.edu for code

Week of July 4th is prorated

Deadline to Register: May 7th, 2018 (extended to May 20th).  To sign up for additional weeks please contact ciindy@iupui.edu to check availability.  We normally require 2 week notice.
