Chinese language proficiency test

Do you want to know how well your Chinese is?
Do you want an official certificate verify your Chinese language level?
You may do so by taking the Chinese language proficiency tests administered by Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) and Confucius Institute Headquarter, the authorized agents for these tests. There are three different tests aiming on different populations and serving different needs.
Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK)
Business Chinses Test (BCT)
Chinese Proficiency Test for Youth (YCT)
Recently, two more tests have been issued for the beginners. The HSK level I and level II tests. May 30, 2009 will be the first test and is free. The deadline for application is May 15.

Chinese language proficiency test

On May 4, a six member delegation from Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarter visited IUPUI. The delegation is leaded by Deputy Director General Guocheng Zhao. All staff members of Confucius Institute in Indianapolis meet the delegation and Director Xu presents a report about the general operation and financial management of CI-Indy. The delegation is very impressed by the accomplishments of CI-Indy in the first year of operation and gives some suggestions regarding the future directions. Chancellor Bantz and Vice Chancellor Sukahtme meet the delegation and exchange ideas on how to support and sustain the development of CI-Indy. Associate Vice Chancellor Sutton and other faculty member of IUPUI also meet the delegation and provide their inputs. The delegation also have meetings with students who study Chinese language and representatives from local communities that have collaboration with CI-Indy.
