Faculty exchange with SYSU

The exchange programs between Indiana University School of Medicine and Sun Yat-sen University School of Medicine are moving ahead smoothly. Dr. David Burr, the Chair of Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology visited SYSU Oct. 27. He had meetings with Mengfeng Li, the Dean of School of Medicine, and Tinghuai Wang, the Director of Medical education, to exchange ideas of faculty and student exchanges between the two institutes.
There will be five faculty members from IUSM to deliver lectures to the medical students and faculty of SYSU SOM this semester. They are:
Robert D. Yee, M.D., F.A.C.S., Chair of Opthalmology;
Jeffrey R. Henney, M.D. , Family Medicine;
Marcus Schamberger, M.D., Pediatric Cardiology;
Deanna Willis, M.D., M.B.A. Family Medicine;
Donald Wong, Ph.D.， Anatomy & Bioloogy;
Other exchange programs in the working are the delegation from SYSU SOM visit IUSM, Medical student exchange for senior students and Summer Overseas Study program for the first year medical students etc.
